SKULL CAP RUBBER GASKET INSTALLATION GUIDE

Please note that some wheels do not require rubber gaskets. It is important to test fit the cap both with and without the gasket before tightening the wheel nuts.

This will allow the centre cap to sit flush against the rim itself. Failure to do so will result in the centre cap cracking.

When installing the centre caps for the first time, please ensure you have a proper 60-degree tapered nut. Centre the cap itself and tighten the wheel nuts in three stages.

Steps:

Step 1: Flip your skull cap upside down and find the raised outer lip.

Step 2: Grab the rubber gasket and line up the inner edge with the outer edge of the raised lip.

Step 3: Use both hands to carefully stretch the rubber gasket around the lip.

Step 4: Once the rubber gasket is in place, try fitting the cap on your vehicle.

Step 5: Tighten your nuts finger tight while ensuring the cap is still centred.

Step 6: Use a wheel brace to tighten them in a star pattern.

Step 7: Check all wheels with a torque wrench to ensure all wheel nuts are torqued to your vehicle's specifications.

If the cap starts to flex at any point during this process, loosen the lug nuts, take off the centre cap, and remove the rubber gasket. Then put the cap back on without the gasket.

We recommend re-tightening wheel nuts after the first 100 kilometres and periodically thereafter.

Do not use a rattle gun as this will break the caps.
It's best to have all wheels and accessories fitted by a professional to prevent any damage from incorrect installation.
